Tournament Info:
When: March 17, 2001 (check in begins at 8:00 a.m.)
Where: Central Presbyterian Church, Merced, California.
Whom: Any Home School Novice/Advanced Debate Teams (We have room for 50 teams - first completed registrations first serve)
Why: Every one needs practice prior to Qualifiers!!!

Format: There will be split tracks for Novice and Advanced debaters. The format will be 4 Rounds with a Finals Round for top 2 teams of both Novice and Advanced.
Cost: $20 per team (Cost covers Awards, Supplies, Snacks, Facilities Rent)
Meals will not be provided. Bring your own sack lunch(s). There are some fast food options close by if that is your desire, but time will be very limited.

Schedule: (subject to flux through-out the day as usual)

- Check In 8:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.
- Judges Orientation 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
- Debater Orientation 8:45 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
- Round 1 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. (Sharp !!)
- Round 2 10:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
- Lunch 12:15 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
- Round 3 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. (Sharp !!)
- Round 4 2:45 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.
- Finals Round 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- AWARDS 6:35 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. ???? (We are trying to get you on road earlier)

Registration Needs:
- Entrance into the tournament will be recorded via E-Mail registration, but will not be confirmed until a completed registration form and a check for $20/team is received at tournament headquarters.
- Total Registration is due March 14, 2001. PLEASE !!! (important for matching up teams and placing Judges and timers, and other details, etc.!)
- Each team is being asked to provide both 1 judge and 1 timer minimum. Yes, you parents need practice too! Extra judges/timers would not be turned down. Each judge and timer should stand ready to judge/time at least 2 rounds, maybe more.

Housing:
Because of the short staffing of this tournament, host housing for out of town debaters will not be provided. Merced has an abundance of inexpensive lodging available in the area. Some options include: Holiday Inn Express, Best Western, Motel 6, Super 8, Ramada, Days Inn, and a few others.

Directions:
Coming from the South:
- Hwy 99 North to Merced. Take the Martin Luther King Blvd exit, turn right (east). The streets are numbered in ascending order. Stay on Martin Luther King until you reach 20th street. Turn left (north) and proceed to Canal Street (which would also be “L” street) Central Presbyterian Church is on the corner of 20th and Canal. You can’t miss it.
Coming From the North:
- Hwy 99 South to Merced. Take the Martin Luther King Blvd exit, turn left (east). The streets are numbered in ascending order. Stay on Martin Luther King until you reach 20th street. - Hwy 152 south to Hwy 59 exit. Hwy 59 runs directly into Merced, and becomes Martin Luther King Blvd. in Merced city limits. Stay on Martin Luther King until you reach 20th street. Turn left (north) and proceed to Canal Street (which would also be “L” street) Central Presbyterian Church is on the corner of 20th and Canal. You can’t miss it.
